The term used when a radio station adds a song to their
regular play list. The song may receive Lite, Medium or Heavy rotation.
- EXTRA

A song is an EXTRA when it is available for play
in the studio; it may not receive regular airplay, but it will get a spin every now and then.
- OFF
- A song is OFF when it is dropped from airplay and
no longer being played at all.
- RECURRENT
- The term used when a song has already had
regular airplay but is tapering off a regular rotation of play.
- SPIN

The play of a song on the radio.
- HEAVY ROTATION

Twelve or more spins per week.
- MEDIUM ROTATION

Six to eleven spins per week.
- LITE ROTATION

Up to five spins per week.
